About Hiscock & Co — Built Inside a CQC-Rated Service

About Hiscock & Co

We've sat where you sit.

Hiscock & Co is the regulatory compliance imprint of Care Horizons — a CQC-rated Good community care service still trading after 21 years. The library you're buying from is built on top of an active, inspected, operating service — not abstracted from one.

Three decades of business and care leadership

Vierka Hiscock leads both companies. Her career spans three decades — starting as a qualified business manager and accountant in Slovakia from 1995, then moving through care-sector roles in the UK before acquiring Care Horizons Limited, which she has led as Managing Director since January 2017.

Care Horizons has been operating as a registered care provider since 5 April 2004 — over 21 years of continuous trading and CQC registration. Every policy, form, and operational system Hiscock & Co publishes is something we have used, refined, and stood behind in our own inspections.

What Care Horizons does

In-home day and 24/7 care for people with mental health conditions, learning disabilities, autism, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, and complex needs — across South West Gloucestershire and Bristol.

  • CQC registered and rated Good
  • ISO 9001 (Quality Management) certified
  • ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety) certified
  • Active on the Bristol and South Gloucestershire commissioning frameworks
  • Listed on Care & Support West, Care Choices, and homecare.co.uk

Six reasons providers trust Hiscock & Co

1. Practitioner-built, not consultant-written

Every system is authored by people who have run, registered, inspected and re-registered community care services. Each policy answers "how does this work on a Tuesday morning visit?" — not just "what does the regulation say?"

2. ISO 9001 + ISO 45001 certified

Our governance frameworks are built on the same management systems Care Horizons is externally audited against every year.

3. Aligned to the CQC SAF

Every system maps explicitly to SAF quality statements across SAFE, EFFECTIVE, CARING, RESPONSIVE and WELL-LED. Show inspectors exactly which statement each form evidences.

4. Current and continually maintained

v3.2 reflects 2025 regulation: post-PSIRF, post-LPS, post-Sponsor Licence reform, post-Online Safety Act. We monitor CQC, NICE, ICO, UKVI, HSE — and update at version increments.

5. White-label ready in 60 minutes

Every document carries [INSERT] placeholders for your organisation name, Registered Manager, service type, and operational details. Most systems take 45–60 minutes to customise from purchase to deployment-ready.

6. Own forever — not a subscription trap

One-time purchase. No annual renewal. The library is yours. Optional Maintenance keeps it current as regulations change, only on the systems where it matters to you.

One-time purchase. Own forever.

Most compliance providers charge annual subscription fees that lock you into ongoing payments:

Provider Approx. annual cost
Bettal Quality Consultancy ~£900/year
Care Quality Support ~£1,656/year
Quality Compliance Systems £600–£1,800/year
Hiscock & Co Standard systems £64.99–£84.99 — one-time

If you want ongoing version updates, our optional Maintenance Subscription keeps your library current — for a fraction of the cost of the annual subscription model. Most customers buy what they need now and add maintenance later, only on the systems where it matters.
